One of the top things people want to know from us is how to make people find their website. We can't stress enough that it's not enough to just have an adorable website. You must also make sure you have keywords, meta titles, and back links. The other important thing to do is to make sure NONE of your links are "broken" - meaning that when you click them, you don't end up where you think you will. All links should work. They are looking to find the most relevant websites for the search that was submitted. This is why you must include keywords and other information so they have that information to find. How to Make the Most of your Etsy Shop in 2012

Have you wondered what you need to do to make your Etsy shop shine? Have you wondered how to become an Etsy Powerseller? Everyone wants success. We all want to know what the tricks are that make those sellers really become successful. You can have the same exact product as another shop, but by appearances alone be more or less successful selling the same exact things.

These are three very important suggestions we have to make your Etsy Shop shine and bring in more sales:

1. Make sure your photos are professional. Whether you choose to put them all on a white background (using photoshop or some other photo editing software to remove the backgrounds), or whether you choose models, make sure your photos are all uniform. We are working on this concept ourselves with our 2012 makeover!

2. Spend the extra $10 to purchase a domain name for your Etsy AND Facebook page. We recommend when you purchase a domain name, that you try to purchase at least a couple that are similar. I.E. www.sissyfrissys.com, www.sissyfrissys.net, www.sissyfrissys.co . You don't want someone to buy the alternate domain of your business and start selling the exact same thing you are and have people "happen" upon their store. You lose business that way. It's great to get these extra domains ad redirect them to your Etsy Shop, Facebook, Blog, etc. Any "real estate" you have on the web, should be connected to a domain name so you can easily direct people to your different sites.

3. Use the Circle Feature on Etsy to your advantage. This is by far our favorite new feature of Etsy. They now tell you who favorites your shop and your items. We consider these to be "leads". They are basically telling you who visits your shop and what they like. Take the extra time to send them a "convo" and let them know you appreciate them taking time out of their busy day to visit your shop. Also, extend them custom options and let them know you are available to assist them. You will see that this sets you apart from the rest and that you will be able to convert some of those leads to sales!

High values of packet loss and reaction time indicate low connection performances, while low response time means faster connection and more reliable. Site speed checker shows the duration of a given site. This value can be used for viewing how long a site takes to load.

Is your site fast enough? Find out how fast your website is. If too slow, possibly you should to optimize webpage. You can compare your site speed with the websites of your competitors.

It is expected that if a webpage doesn't load within 6-9 seconds you will lose a third of your visitors. So if your site speed is slower than that probably you should improve your design, website configuration or just move to a faster server.

Donate or Pledge to Support Noah!

Noah's school does one fundraiser a year. Instead of candy, magazines, wrapping paper, etc., where the kids, or should I say parents, are forced to go door to door asking for support, Patrick Elementary Pups do a Dalmatian Derby. On Monday, the entire school will participate in a race. Each child can run up to 40 laps. They play music and the kids have a great time.

They get donations based on how many laps you think they can "run". Since Noah's not able to do this, the school has someone who will be "pushing" Noah for his derby! If you would like to sponsor Noah in his first Dalmatian Derby, you can purchase a donation or make a pledge through this page.

Simply choose the option you want and it will take you through a checkout process.

You have until Wednesday, November 10th to make a donation.

Pledge Prizes:

Prizes for $1, $3, or $5 per lap pledges are awarded after the Rally and up until the morning of the Derby. If you were to pledge $2.00 per lap and another person pledged $1.00 per lap, then Noah would qualify for the $1 and $3 prizes and would receive them the day he brings in his pledge card and envelope to school.

$1 Lap Prize: Pedometer

$3 Lap Prize: Reading Timer/Bookmark

$5 Lap Prize: Drawstring Atheletic Bag

Noah will win a Grand Prize if he is one of the top fundraisers for the school based on the following scale:

1st place: $300 gift card

2nd place: (1 winner from k-2nd and 1 winner from 3-5) will both receive $200 gift card

3rd place: (same as above) will both receive a $100 gift card

4th place: winnders (same as above) will both receive a $50 gift card.

All students that raise more than $200 will have their name placed in a drawing to win the last grand prize of a $25 gift card.

All 8 grand prize winners will have breakfast with Ms. Scott (school principal) on Friday, November 11.

Every student gets a Dalmation Derby shirt the day of the event.

If you'd like to pledge, please choose the $1, $3, or $5 pledge option. On Tuesday, November 1st, we will send you an invoice for the amount you pledged times the number of laps Noah completed!

If you'd like to make a flat donation, please choose the option for the amount you'd like to donate.

Spring Designs

It's Spring Time and we love the bright and pastel colors of spring. Summer reminds us of lots of hot pink, red, and lime green - watermellons!!

We also think of a nautical theme for boys in the spring and summer months. We are designing a new line to come out in the coming weeks. It will feature nautical colors and lots of fun summery girly colors.

I was going to have my blog be more of a place where you could also purchase our services and then changed my mind to make it a place where I can talk to you about creativity, inspiration, motivation, and the many things that shape who I am as a person and as a designer.

I hope to feature some tutorials and this will be a place where I offer eBooks from myself and other folks as well.

I hope this blog will bring you inspiration. I am self taught from Google University and I hope this blogs offers you the help that so many people did for me along the way.
